about competition
Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006the higher you climb
the greater the pressure.those who manage to
endure
learn
that the distance
between the
top and the
bottom
is
obscenely
great.and those who
succeed
know
this secret:
there isn’t
one.
Poem: “about competition” by Charles Bukowski from the Sifting Through the Madness for the Word, the Line the Way. © Ecco.
When you go home tonight, hug your spouse, your kids, and thank God for what you have. Life is short, and its not all about the money. We anticipate a good year in 2005, and there will be some difficult days ahead where much will be asked of you. Make sure you have your relationships in good standing at home before you work horrendous hours. We’ll work to keep it reasonable, but nobody should be stressed beyond their healthy limit such that their relationships at home are affected. You won’t find much happiness in chasing the almighty dollar if your family is destroyed in the process. Visualize the best person you’ve ever known, and be that person for those whose love you cherish. Thanks for all the prayers, we’re seeing them answered in a big way. So don’t stop now! And BE SAFE out there.
